As we develop and deploy technologies for spreading the bandwidth load, we appreciate your participation and tollerance.

We are slamming up against our 130Mb/sec bandwidth rate, and most of it is the etree recordings. We believe we need to be at 1Gb/sec to prove that we have a scalable distribution system.
etree0x are all running ftp and http services

etree03 is running onionnetworks on http
etree04 will be mirrored on dsi.internet2.edu via http
etree02 is running bittorrent on http
we may experiment with yet another caching system in coming weeks. All in all, it is not the way to maintain a reliable system. We must find a way, however, to distribute the load to be able to build a trusted digital repository.

pardon the hiccups, and thank you all for helping.

Hi Brewster,

We believe we need to be at 1Gb/sec to prove that we have a scalable distribution system.

Do you mean that there are plans to increase the bandwidth to 1Gb/sec, or that our goal is to reach 1Gb using bittorrent and Onion etc.?

we appreciate your participation and tollerance.

I mirror these sentiments. Many of you have spent a lot of bandwidth, time, and effort in contributing. Thanks for your uploads, patience and understanding, and we appreciate your help in getting these new technologies underway. We need you folks to try these new tools out and let us know where there are bugs.

Happy holidays folks. Keep the music coming!

-Brad
